Welcome to my stop on the Deadly Burial, by Jon Richter, blog tour hosted by Neverland Book Tours! I am thrilled to be able to bring you a guest post, by the author himself, discussing how to avoid cliched characters!
First, let’s get into a quick synopsis of the book:
When DI Chris Sigurdsson is assigned a grisly murder case on remote Salvation Island, he knows that it might be his strangest yet.
A forgotten wrestling star of the 1980s has been poisoned whilst in the ring, and amidst the slippery lies of his dangerous opponents, unravelling the victim’s murky past is almost impossible.
And as a storm threatens to cut Salvation Island off from the mainland, the race is on for Sigurdsson to find the ruthless killer before he strikes again…
Sounds pretty fantastic right?

Good Morning and welcome to my stop on The Law of Attraction, by Roxie Cooper, blog tour! This morning, I am coming at you with a mini review discussing this feisty read! First, let’s take a look at the synopsis:
Amanda Bentley has always dreamed of being a barrister…
But as a platinum blonde bombshell from the wrong side of town, with a perfect tan and sleek high heels, she doesn’t exactly look the part – or fit in with the brash public school boys and cold posh girls of Newcastle Crown Court’s robing room. Amanda’s never been one to back down from a challenge, and so when she wins a prestigious pupillage following law school, she’s determined to make the most of her chance – and make all her dreams come true.
Only three things stand in her way: Sid Ryder – the sexy, irresistible barrister who she absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, sleep with. At all. Marty Gregg – her smarmy law school nemesis, who she’s in direct competition with for the top job. And her big, dark secret that could jeopardise everything she’s worked so hard for.
Who said that following the laws of attraction was going to be easy…?
Perfects for fans of Legally Blonde, Lindsey Kelk and Joanna Bolouri

Welcome to my stop on the blog tour for The Collective by R.S Williams. I am so thrilled to be able to bring you an extract today from the novel.
First, let’s check out a synopsis, shall we?
Matilda Gregson never knew a world outside hers existed, that is until Harvey comes along and shows her something beyond her imagination. All that is on Tilly’s mind is finishing her dissertation, getting her degree, and spending time with her friends before the end of the school year.
But everything changes when she meets Jenny, an agent of a secret society, and nothing prepared either of them for the adventure they are about to endure. Under the pressures of surviving, their friendship grows and they find friends in the most unlikely of places, and betrayal just around the corner.
Will they both be able to stop him before he tears Jenny’s society to the ground?

Welcome to the final stop on the Cocktails and Dreams blog tour! This newest novel (and first in a new series) by A.L Michael explores relationships, raw emotions and cocktails. I mean, come on, what more do you want?
I had never read a book by A.L Michael before, but, from what I have heard, I was very much missing out. What I discovered when I dove into this book was a quick read with complex characters and an interesting setting (a burlesque club). I didn’t have trouble getting through this book in a single sitting.
The novel opens with Savvy, a seven-year-old girl, being abandoned by her selfish, rockstar mother. Growing up seeking stability, Savvy, as an adult, is sticking around a relationship with a loser and avoiding her mother. However, when the relationships ends and her mother comes crashing back into her life, Sav is forced to question everything and re-evaluate what SHE actually wants. With the help of a handsome bartender, Savvy learns to discover her own dreams and finds forgiveness in the process.

Welcome to my stop on the Do You Whisper Back, by Kate Rigby, blog tour!
The novel, set in the 1970s, follows a young woman, Amanda, who is desperate to reconnect with her long lost, twin sister, Jo. Trying to piece together where she could be, she leaves her family home and tries to find her sister. As Amanda becomes closer to finding Jo, she soon starts experiencing distorted childhood memories and frightening experiences. Is Jo a real entity? Or a figment of her imagination? Did You Whisper Back? is a psychological novel about family secrets and a disturbing portrayal of the fragility of the mind.
This read is fast paced and easily digested. It reads like a short story, which I really liked. There wasn’t a lot of fluff within the pages; Rigby is straight to the point and doesn’t beat around the bush. I really appreciated that.

Welcome to the final stop on the blog tour for Trust Me, by Gemma Metcalfe! I am thrilled to be closing off the tour with a review!
This debut novel was something that I began reading not really knowing what to expect; what a novel to go in blind to! Fast paced and unputdownable, I was consumed in these pages and became completely invested in this unconventional story.
First, the narrative style of this one was completely original. It had me on the edge of my seat. Two people speaking to each other over the phone, one person, a telemarketer, and the other, a man in the midst of completing suicide, in present time, begin to reveal their darkest secrets to each other. As the skeletons in their closet are revealed, told in flashbacks, time begins to run out and the question remains, if you are about to die, do your secrets even matter? Crazy right?
