Blog Tour: Top Five Reasons I Found Myself OBSESSED with The Chalk Man @cjtudor

Late last year, after fighting it for some time, I gave into my temptation and read one of my most anticipated 2018 releases, The Chalk Man by C.J Tudor.    After finishing the novel, I understood completely why there had been so much buzz surrounding this book. Fast-paced, completely compelling and binge-able, I sat down and read this book in an entire sitting.  From the core mystery to the intricately woven characters, I could immediately state that this book would end up one of my favourites for 2018, already!  That, my friends, is a pretty serious statement to make!  If you want, you can check out my full review of The Chalk Man HERE.  But, in honour of my stop on the TLC Blog Tour for this title, I thought I would do a little bit of a breakdown, get a little deeper into the novel and talk about the five reasons why I felt completely OBSESSED with this novel during (and after!) my reading.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Loved My First Year Blogging

Screen Shot 2017-01-04 at 5.43.21 PMTop Ten Tuesday an original feature that was created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  Essentially, for each week the list is a new topic and the feature is designed to share lists with other bookish folks!  I love reading these posts and it’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This week, the theme was an open theme looking back at any past books one might have read.  This worked out perfectly for me at Clues and Reviews, since my one year blogging anniversary is next week!! I was thrilled to see that my blog anniversary perfectly aligned with the Top Ten Tuesday post for this week and it had me taking a look back at all the books I have read and reviewed since I began my little old blog last September.  In total, I have read and reviwed 378 books (as of this morning) during my first year of blogging!

Even with all of the books I have read, I find it funny how there are some books that just stick out,. I am able to pick out (pretty easily) the top books that have kept me thinking, I am consistantly recommending or I have felt the urge to pick up and read again.

Keep reading to see my top ten picks for books that stood out for me my first year blogging!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday post which was a freebie topic in relation to mothers!

I don’t know about you, but some of my favourite novels are the ones that have a fierce mother at the center of them.

The mothers that will fight for their children, the mothers that will go to the ends of the Earth to protect their children and the mothers that give antagonists a run for their money.

Let’s get real people: mothers are kick ass.

Keep reading to check out my top ten books that have a fierce mother at the center of the plot.
