Netgalley Update: Part 1- February Releases

For me, January is the month where I flounder like a fish out water as I desperately try to organize my life.  January seemed to last an absolute lifetime and I did indeed spend it aimlessly wandering, trying to get myself back on track.  Yikes…

But, now that February is here, I am ready to make myself accountable and figure out Mount TBR!

One of my main goals for February is to try and get my Netgalley stack under control.  I feel like I request all these books in moments of weakness (aka after reading all my favourite book blogs and developing serious FOMO) and then BAM all are approved at exactly the same time.  OOPS!

So, here are all the books I currently have on my Netgalley shelf releasing in February.  Are any of these books that you have read?  Anything catch your eye?  Anything on your TBR shelf that we can buddy read?!

Behind the Blog: Meet the Blogger Series- Tina and The Team from Trip Fiction @TripFiction

Trip Fiction is basically one of the coolest blogs ever; do you ever want to escape somewhere?  Maybe travel to Egypt or spend an afternoon in Paris?  Well, type in your locale of choice into the Trip Fiction database and out pops a book for you to escape in! Super fun concept and amazing for developing diversity in your TBR pile, I always head to Trip Fiction when I feel the need to “get away”.

Next up is Jen from This Mom Reads

This is an extra special Behind the Blog post for me because Jen is actually one of my close, real life friends!   Jen and I met during teacher’s college and became fast friends (partially by choice, but also partially because I pretty much make people be friends with me and then they just sort of agree).  Jen is a new mom and still manages to read an insane amount!  She is also a member of the book club I attend and she is the only member, who without fail, always manages to finish the book.  She is also one of the only people in my real life I can send a text message to that says “I just finished this book, you need to drop everything and read it ASAP” and she does.   She also has an impeccable taste; we often browse the bookstore together and I always purchase what she recommends!

Let’s see what Jen said when she took the “hot seat” to answer my questions!

Sarah has an amazing blog.  I always look forward to her reviews.  But, she doesn’t stop there, Sarah wears many hats!  Not only does she read and review for her personal blog but she is also book publicist with Bloodhound Books!  Bloodhound Books is an amazing independent publishing house and Sarah does an amazing job at promoting and organizing tours for Bloodhound titles.  Dealing with a bunch of bloggers cannot be easy but Sarah does it with ease!

Well, now that I have had my “fan girl” moment over featuring Sarah, let’s see what she said when she had her turn in the hot seat!

April 2017 Wrap Up #wrapup #bookaddict

Well, folks, I blinked and here we are at the end of April!

I know I say this every month, but seriously, time is flying!

I don’t know about you, but I am very much looking forward to May and the start of some warmer weather; it’s been just awful here lately (lots of rain and cold weather) and although I like the weather that forces me inside to read, I’d love to be able to curl up on my deck with a good book and nice breeze!

I read 31 books this month, keeping up with my book-a-day habit but a little less than last month.  I was busy.  What can ya do??!
