August 2017: #WrapUp

Screen Shot 2017-01-04 at 5.43.21 PM

Hallelujah!  August is over!  I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, I don’t “do” summer.  I don’t like the heat.  I don’t like the beach.  I am not a fan.  This August Wrap Up post is potentially my favourite post because that means we are closer to my favourite season, the season that rules them all- FALLLLL!

Pumpkin everything.  Boots.  Sweaters.  Yes. Please.

This month, I felt like I had a really terrible month for reading.  I didn’t feel like I was reading a whole ton.  I had my wedding shower, was feeling pretty sick, and had to deal with a flood in my basement. But, apparently, I was mistaken because I read 31 books this month.  Not my best month but not my worst month either!

Keep reading to see which books I read, which books I loved, which books I liked and which books I had to add to my DNF pile.

Monthly Wrap Up: July 2017

Screen Shot 2017-01-04 at 5.43.21 PM

Happy last day of July!

I really struggle in the summer; I am not a fan of the heat so I really spend most of July complaining and wishing Bath and Body Works would put out their fall candle selection.

I felt like I was incredibly busy this month and not doing much reading at all so I was surprised when I counted up my July titles and realized I managed to get 32 titles read!

I also hit my Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal!  I have read 213 books so far this year and that ain’t too shabby!

June 2017 Wrap Up: #wrapup #June

Anyone who works in education or an education-related field waits for June with bated breath!   It always feels like there is not enough time and yet, time moves at a snail’s pace!  I work in an alternative school setting, so I work through the summer, but it is absolutely more relaxed and I am looking forward to the lighter weight load before I transition back into the public school system in September!

Needless to say, June was an absolutely crazy month for me personally, but, I must say, I had a seriously mediocre month for reading.

With life in the way and a full blown reading slump that plagued me for almost two weeks, I finished June with 25 titles read.

Keep reading to see what I read in June and, as always, be sure to click on the titles to bring you to the full reviews!

May 2017 Wrap Up

Screen Shot 2017-01-04 at 5.43.21 PMMay has come and gone and I have had another incredibly busy reading month.  I read some amazing books, took part in some blog tours and added about seven million books to my TBR pile.

This month I read thirty-seven titles.   I was hoping to finish the two I am currently reading to start June fresh, but such is life!

Keep reading to see what I read this month and to see will be coming up on Clues and Reviews!

April 2017 Wrap Up #wrapup #bookaddict

Screen Shot 2017-01-04 at 5.43.21 PMWell, folks, I blinked and here we are at the end of April!

I know I say this every month, but seriously, time is flying!

I don’t know about you, but I am very much looking forward to May and the start of some warmer weather; it’s been just awful here lately (lots of rain and cold weather) and although I like the weather that forces me inside to read, I’d love to be able to curl up on my deck with a good book and nice breeze!

I read 31 books this month, keeping up with my book-a-day habit but a little less than last month.  I was busy.  What can ya do??!

March 2017: Wrap Up #wrapup

screen-shot-2017-01-04-at-5-43-21-pm

March was an incredibly busy month for me, both personally and on the blog!

I  finalized a bunch of plans for my wedding, celebrated multiple birthdays (including my own!) and transitioned into some new routines.

I participated in multiple blog tours, completed several buddy reads with #cjsreads and was able to connect with some pretty amazing authors for Q&As.

While all this was going on, I managed to read thirty-five books! THIRTY-FIVE.

Needless to say people, I think I need a new hobby.

screen-shot-2017-01-04-at-5-43-21-pm

February is typically my least favourite month of the year; it always seems to go by too slowly. Luckily for me, I had a whole bunch of books this month to keep me busy! This month, I was able to read 28 books.

Keep reading to check out what I read this month (and which reads I gave a 5-star rating!) and an update on my reading challenges!
