Ever wonder about the person behind the blog? I mentioned back in January (here) that I would be starting a Meet the Blogger series. This series will feature some of my favourite bloggers as we go behind the scenes and have them answer the questions!
Next up is Tracy from The Pages In-Between!
Tracy, a fellow North American book blogger, is a mother of four future bibliophiles and reviews a whole slew of genres on her blog. From romance to thriller to YA titles, Tracy reads it all! Keep reading to see what Tracy had to say when it was her turn to answer my Behind the Blog questions!
Why did you decide to join the world of book blogging?
Instagram, or Bookstagram, whichever you prefer to call it. I had never known that world existed. Once I joined Insta, I then decided it was time to take my book love to the next level and get into the world of Book Blogging and Book Reviewing. I actually Just had my 1 year anniversary for both my Instagram and Blog last week!
What have been your favourite and least favourite parts of being a book blogger?
My absolute favorite part is connecting with fellow readers, and sharing our favorite books with each other.
My least favorite part? To be honest, it’s getting turned down by publishers when I ask to review a book. It’s kind of sad.
What have been your 3 favourite books to review since you started book blogging?
The Twilight Wife by A.J. Banner, All Our Wrong Todays, By Elan Mastai, and Behind Her Eyes, By Sarah Pinborough
SIDE NOTE: I have all of these books and, Tracy, what fantastic choices!!
Have you always been a reader? If not, what got you into reading?
Oh yes, Ironically in 1st grade, I was sent back to Kindergarten because my reading level was below standards. Something triggered in me, because once I figured out how to read, I jumped right into chapter books. I used to “Borrow” my sisters Baby Sitters Club books, it made her SO mad. My mom eventually bought me The Baby Sitters Club Little Sister series. I remember being a wee child staying up late reading my books.
Now the impossible question…what are some of your favourite books?
No kidding, that really is an impossible question. Let’s see, All The Ugly Wonderful Things, by Brynn Greenwood, and. It Ends With Us, by Colleen Hoover, because they made me feel things, and it made me question what is right and wrong, and under certain circumstances can something bad, be ok?
