Blog Tour: Kill or Die (Ann Evans) #bookreview @Bloodhoundbook

Screen Shot 2017-04-16 at 2.06.03 PM.pngSo excited to be on the blog tour this morning for Kill or Die, a thriller, by Ann Evans!

Julia has had enough. She is leaving her husband and she is leaving him immediately. She packs up her things and heads out with her eight-year-old daughter. Things take a turn when she runs into two men, Nash and Vincent, outside her neighbour’s home.   Nash and Vincent are on the run and they aren’t about to be stopped by Julia. Abducted and taken to their “safe house”, Julia must do whatever she can to protect her daughter and ensure their safety. She has no other choice but to kill or die…..

Sounds intense? You’d be correct to think so!

Fast-paced, non-stop action had me on the edge of my seat and the likeable characters had me turning the pages fasted than I could consume them.

I must start by saying that the pace of this novel cannot be beaten; from the first pages, I was hooked.   Evans’ prose sucked me in immediately and I was transported into Julia’s world.  From her discovery of her husband’s continuous infidelity, to her abduction, to watching her fierce maternal instinct kick in, I could not get enough of her story. Strong willed and tenacious, I loved watching her development throughout the novel’s progression.

I did find that the book ended a little abruptly for my liking, but overall, I truly enjoyed this read. It is short and to the point; the perfect book to participate in an afternoon binge read with.

I’m giving this one 4/5 stars and will be on the look out for the next book by Ann Evans!

Thank you to Bloodhound Books for the digital copy of this novel; it was my pleasure to provide an honest review!

I’ve always loved writing. What started as a hobby has now become a way of life. My children’s and YA books have been published by Scholastic Children’s Books, Usborne Publishing, Penguin Australia, Hometown World, Badger Learning and Astraea Press (Clean Reads). Plus there are a number of adults books published under my pen name of Ann Carroll – and more in the pipeline. The Beast published by Usborne won the raring2read category in the Coventry Literary Book Festival 2013. 2017 sees three new books being published, another YA reluctant reader book for Badger Learning entitled Keeper. A historical romance called A Place to Belong, and a crime thriller – working title Kill or Die with Bloodhound Books.
When I’m not writing I do school visits, run workshops and give talks.
My non-fiction career spans the last 30 years which includes 13 years at the Coventry Telegraph as a staff feature writer plus a great many freelance articles on a wide range of topics.
Be sure to check out all the other stops on the tour for Kill or Die!
